Starting point: about the project
For the client it wasn't critical exactly how to segment products. Price was the key — since this is wholesale, cheap goods could overall bring fewer sales (due to a small basket capacity).
The main challenge
The main problem was «small», essentially retail orders. We had to rebuild the campaigns so ads brought larger wholesale orders with a higher value, rather than diluting the budget on low-margin items.
What we did
- Cheap-product cluster. All items below a certain threshold were moved into a separate cluster and shown at a minimal bid — cost-per-click for such products can be as low as 1–5 kopecks.
- Price segmentation. Campaign structure was built around product price to control profitability in each price segment.
- Region segmentation. When each campaign runs in its own region (or several campaigns are grouped into regions), budgets are easier to manage — a single structure allocates spend sensibly.
- Optimizing for order value. Campaigns were tuned so that higher-value orders got priority.
Results (30 days)
The rebuilt structure made the ads highly cost-efficient: on roughly UAH 5,700 in spend the campaigns generated over UAH 51,000 in conversion value — a return on ad spend (ROAS) of about 9×.

Region segmentation gave control over budgets and profitability. Across geos — 5,554 clicks, 2.73% CTR, a 12.06% conversion rate and a UAH 5.71 cost per conversion. Best regions: Kyiv (20.78% conversion rate, UAH 3.37 per conversion) and Ternopil (34.32% conversion rate, UAH 1.94 per conversion). For the lowest price cluster, cost-per-click dropped to 1–5 kopecks.
